Fall good times

We've had a very busy fall, but its been fun! Avery is getting SO big so fast and Jonah is being a good big brother. Its been much busier here, handling two little ones, but they've both been great. Avery is now 15wks old and is all smiles, fun giggles and has been an incredible sleeper! Shes been sleeping about 10-11hrs at night for the last month...just amazing. Jonah will be 2.5yrs old in the middle of Dec. and is talking all the time and in full sentences! Jon and I are constantly amazed at the stuff he says. Hes also getting really imaginative, which is a lot of fun! We seem to have a lot of imaginary 'spiders' and 'trains' in our house.
Here are some photos of my awesome babies and the things we've been up to.

THANKSGIVING!
We had two Thanksgivings this year. An early 'mini' one at my parents house so we could see my parents, Tara, Eric and the boys. We had a blast! Jon and I got to go on a mountain bike date ride and the boys just had the best time all playing together and we had so much fun just watching them all. Avery is definitely going to have to be one tough girl so she can hold her own with her two older cousins and older brother! The 'official' Thanksgiving was in Maryland with Jon's parents and where I cooked my very 1st turkey ever! It turned out GREAT! It was a smaller than normal Thanksgiving, but just as fun and Nancy made a ton of really good food. Wish I had more good pictures!

Aunt Tara made all the cousins turkey shirts. She also made Avery a tutu for it (seen below)

Beautiful Avery

Avery has been doing great! She is now almost 7 weeks old and we've been doing a lot of fun stuff. I've tried to get her to nap in her crib, so that when we move her there she is already used to it. Unfortunately she naps a lot in her car seat because we are always running around with Jonah. Also, here are some more photos of her, I realized that a lot of the photos of my first post you couldn't really see how gorgeous she is. :)

Avery started smiling at us around 5 weeks, but at 6 weeks she was really giving them to us!

The 2 above pictures are from her photo shoot at 2 weeks old. I am so tempted to put them all on here b/c they all looked so great, but here are two of the ones we picked. It was really hard to choose between them all!

Hanging out with Indy on her playmat.

Jon found this beer made my Avery brewery. We couldn't resist..pretty good beer too.

Working on tummy time. Shes doing pretty well with it now. She can really lift her head!

First bath in the bath tub...she loves the warm water, but who wouldn't ;)

Welcome Avery!

Welcome Avery Melissa Bell Posner!
She made her grand entrance 7 days late on August 22nd at 6:28pm. I had gone to my 2nd biophysical appointment at 2pm that day and while there they were seeing contractions every 4-5min. I knew I was having contractions, but they weren't unbearable. I went home and about 1hr they had gotten a bit more uncomfortable so we decided to go back to the hospital. When I got there I was already 6-7cm dilated and around 3 hours later she arrived at 9lb 7oz! What a big girl!! It was a surprise to us all since Jonah was 7lb 11oz when he was born and I had measured and weighed the same with Avery my entire pregnancy. Thankfully, I was once again able to do it all natural with the help of our doula Beth and Jon.
Its definitely been busy with 2 babies and this blog post is a bit late...so here are some pictures over the last month of the new member of the Posner Pack.

Summer 2011

We've done a lot since I posted last. I wish I had more time to do regular blogs, but being pregnant, any downtime I have has usually been spent napping if at all possible! So heres a quick peak at the last 4 months. Baby is due in 9 days so I figured I needed to get his in before I get really busy and wanted to catch up before posting pics and info about our new addition!

Jonah turned 2! Crazy how fast it goes and no matter how many people tell you that, its still a surprise and a bit sad. We celebrated at the park again this year and had a great time. Jonah got to play with some of his friends and got his official 1st bike. Its a balance bike (no pedals), if you've never heard of them and are curious, shoot me an email. They're awesome. We enjoyed some of 'Mom Moms' (aka Grandma Posner) awesome cup cakes and dad's great grilling skills.

We had a summer birthday beach vacation. Jonah, Jon, my sister Tara and her two boys and my mom all have summer bdays, so we all (including my dad and Eric, Tara's husband) traveled to Ocean City for a week at the beach. We had a GREAT time! Jonah wasn't a huge fan of the sand, but he loved the pool and we had great weather and got to enjoy a bunch of each. The cousins all got along great and we even had a small bday celebration with lots of gifts and birthday cake for everyone. We even got to be pirates and go on a pirate adventure and look for 'buried' treasure! Very cool!

We celebrated July 4th by going to the famous July 4h Catonsville parade. It is a BIG deal and after almost 6 years living in Catonsville, this was the first time we actually made the parade. Not sure why it took us so long, but taking Jonah was a great excuse to make sure we made it. We had fun, but it was HOT! Jonah loved all the cars and firetrucks and people walking by...what a fun day!

Jon and Jonah frequent our new favorite bakery and coffee shop, At Waters so often they know what we want when we walk in the door! Jonah is, of course, their favorite customer.
Jonah LOVES reading....well...looking at pictures, we aren't quite to the reading part yet. But he can now recognize letters, which is fun to practice. Heres Jonah entertaining himself in the car while we run errands.

Jonah goes to story time at the library. He loves it and loves to go see Ms. Pat. Its one of the 3 classes he goes to during the week and one of his favorite.
We've been working on the nursery. We decided since we don't know if its a boy or a girl we would go with an owl theme. We got this great decal from Etsy.com. I love the fact that its just one big sticker and you can take it right off if you ever want to change it. My sister found this great owl fabric and sewed me a crib skirt and valance. The room is tiny, but super cute!

So thats it for now. The next posts will include new baby poz. We are getting anxious to see if Jonah will have a little sister or brother. Life is going to get VERY busy!
