Tummy Time

So I have been doing tummy time with Jonah, but was being a little lazy with it... so we stepped up our game. He is doing great, he doesn't totally love it but handles it pretty well for awhile :) He was tired in these photos, so maybe we should have titled this lazy tummy time, haha.

Yes..its true

My baby has a rat tail! I have been meaning to post this forever..when Jonah was born he had a TON of hair, so much so I told people he had a rat tail, so here it is, proof!! So funny...I love it and so far he hasn't lost any. The rooster tail at the top happens when hes in his car seat for awhile, its hilarious.

Outfits

Aunt Tara sent up some of her favorite outfits from the boys for Jonah. They are too cute! Here are a couple, I don't think the pictures really do justice.

This one is a terry cloth type of jumper, its really cute on him!

I really liked this one too, the one piece outfits are so great.

The one below is actually from some family friends, figured I put
it up since I was showing some outfits..its super cute!

Trip to North Carolia

We took a mini-vacation to go visit GiGi and Grand dada in North Carolina. It was Jonah's first big road trip (7wks old), the drive is about 6 hrs. He did really great! Here are some photos from our first vacation together as a family.

On the way down..doing great!

Hanging with dad.

Sleeping on GiGi.

Sleeping on GiGi again..totally out froggy style!

Too funny! He is just out for the count.

Ghetto Baby

Jon was going to take Jonah outside to walk around and it was really sunny...he didn't know where I had any hats for him so he grabbed one he got for free that way lying around. And so 'Ghetto Baby' was born...so funny!

Crib time

After Jonah went with Jon and I to APL to visit our work friends, he came home and ate and seemed tired, so put him down in his crib and he's STILL sleeping....longest nap in the crib ever! Its been almost 3 hrs. whoo hoo.

Also, if you're wondering, the white thing above the crib is a crib tent. We got it to make sure the cats didn't sneak in and try to snuggle up with Jonah while he was sleeping. One day it might keep an active toddler from escaping ;)

Reading with daddy

Jonah was catching up on current events while reading Newsweek with Dad. The cutest thing was it totally looked like he was reading along.

Napping

So Jonah usually naps in his little bouncy seat on the couch next to me during the day (slightly inclined and cushioned on each side so its cozy). I have been trying to get him to nap on his back in preparation for future nap times and he is going to outgrow that bouncy seat sooner than later, but everytime he dozes off and I put him down it wakes him back up b/c there is so much space around him (at night I swaddle him). I was successful 2x this past week...slowly but surely! yipee!

Fell asleep and I put him down in his pack and play..this lasted only about 10 min though :)

He was actually awake when I put him in his crib, so I could go clean up his bath stuff. He fell right asleep! The fish aquarium thing helped, it plays soothing music and it apparently worked. He slept for about 20 minutes in his crib...first time, since hes still in a bassinet in our room.
