Jonah turned 2! Crazy how fast it goes and no matter how many people tell you that, its still a surprise and a bit sad. We celebrated at the park again this year and had a great time. Jonah got to play with some of his friends and got his official 1st bike. Its a balance bike (no pedals), if you've never heard of them and are curious, shoot me an email. They're awesome. We enjoyed some of 'Mom Moms' (aka Grandma Posner) awesome cup cakes and dad's great grilling skills.
We had a summer birthday beach vacation. Jonah, Jon, my sister Tara and her two boys and my mom all have summer bdays, so we all (including my dad and Eric, Tara's husband) traveled to Ocean City for a week at the beach. We had a GREAT time! Jonah wasn't a huge fan of the sand, but he loved the pool and we had great weather and got to enjoy a bunch of each. The cousins all got along great and we even had a small bday celebration with lots of gifts and birthday cake for everyone. We even got to be pirates and go on a pirate adventure and look for 'buried' treasure! Very cool!
We celebrated July 4th by going to the famous July 4h Catonsville parade. It is a BIG deal and after almost 6 years living in Catonsville, this was the first time we actually made the parade. Not sure why it took us so long, but taking Jonah was a great excuse to make sure we made it. We had fun, but it was HOT! Jonah loved all the cars and firetrucks and people walking by...what a fun day!
Jon and Jonah frequent our new favorite bakery and coffee shop, At Waters so often they know what we want when we walk in the door! Jonah is, of course, their favorite customer.
Jonah LOVES reading....well...looking at pictures, we aren't quite to the reading part yet. But he can now recognize letters, which is fun to practice. Heres Jonah entertaining himself in the car while we run errands.
Jonah goes to story time at the library. He loves it and loves to go see Ms. Pat. Its one of the 3 classes he goes to during the week and one of his favorite.
We've been working on the nursery. We decided since we don't know if its a boy or a girl we would go with an owl theme. We got this great decal from Etsy.com. I love the fact that its just one big sticker and you can take it right off if you ever want to change it. My sister found this great owl fabric and sewed me a crib skirt and valance. The room is tiny, but super cute!
So thats it for now. The next posts will include new baby poz. We are getting anxious to see if Jonah will have a little sister or brother. Life is going to get VERY busy!
